SEAN CONNERY IS GOD
Mood:  cheeky
Now Playing: League of Extraordinary Gentlement
I have come to the conclusion that if GOD were to come back to Earth and start kicking butt, he would look like Sean Connery. I also have a firm belief that if I were to cast the character of Marius for the Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles, it would be Sean Connery. I also have a notion that he just gets better with age. That's magic, man. As Goldie Hawn so eloquently said it in 'first wives club' "Sean Connery is over two hundred years old and he's still a stud!"
---Out of the mouths of blondes....Well said Goldie.

Open up your mind...
Mood:  crushed out
Now Playing: Phantom of the Opera
Oh God. I saw the Joel Schumacher/Andrew Lloyd Webber movie version of Phantom. I wept. I wept officially three times...then I went to go see it again. Yep. I'm buying that movie. I already bought the soundtrack/book...ironically when I snagged the last copy of the Moulin Rouge two disc boxed set. Am I the only one that is schmaltzy??? I loved Phantom on stage. I love it still now. Relationships come and go...but Phantom remains. I waxed major nostalgia. I thought of people I haven't seen in years...wondered how they were...where their lives have led. stuff like that. I loved the film. I remember when I saw the Stage version with Michael Crawford. I remember seeing Sarah Brightman perform the first time I saw it. I remember the second time I went, I think it was to be Michael Crawfords last performance. It was breathtaking. Schumacher and Webber could be the next Rodgers and Hammerstein for films. If you love angst, this is the flick for you. Afterwords grab your bottle of Merlot, go home and watch Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame. Then walk up and down the streets in the rain singing Ewan Macgregors version of 'Come What May'. Hey! I am the queen of angst!!! If I didn't have to work,I would turn a Hearse into a traveling mini bar serving Absinthe Jello Shots to the masses! Actually Absinthe is too licorishy...give me Chambord Jello Shots anyday.

HOW COULD I FORGET DEATH????!!!?!?!?!?
Mood:  cheeky
Now Playing: Mulan II
I did not watch mulan two...I did however listen to it on DVD while I was typing here. It sounded cute. I however happen to have a problem when people make sequels of classic cartoons or films...sometimes just let the magic go with one film. otherwise you kill it with a sequel. just an opinion. Anythehow, I was rudely reminded by a woman with a wiffle bat, "HEY PAN! You forgot the Endless character of DEATH!?! Who would you choose to be death???"
You know, that is a hard question to answer. Because I Could be thwapped on many different angles. Someone perky definately. This one I may have to ponder. Waifish/perky/in her twenties and so white she would have to glow in the dark. Waitaminute... Will Kirsten Dunst be willing to dye her hair black???
By the way, If we could not get Jennifer Tilly for the character of Desire? Go with Gwen Stefani. She would be great for the role.

When did Los Angeles go to London?
Mood:  celebratory
Now Playing: Constantine
If anyone has seen the movie CONSTANTINE with Keanu Reeves. It was beyond words. I fell in love with the graphic novel 'Hellblazer' with the character of John Constantine back when the cross over with Sandman. John Constantine was the character that penned the term "Trench Coat Brigade!" Yes, it is true that there were some irky moments to just me personally. I always thought that Denis Leary would have made a fabulous Constantine. But Keanu just made the character his own...NOW my question to everyone is why the heck have we not got the Sandman movie or Death the high cost of living mini series? I would personally volunteer my services as the character of despair...I would not make the character so dumpy. If I were to pick the casting call for the endless:
Johnny Depp IS the Sandman...which would be cool then Orlando bloom could play Orpheus his son. Of course Tori was first choice for Delirium...but you know...I got a feeling Jennifer Garner would do a bang up job. Of course I would cast myself as despair...I have ego issues. But if I was too busy, I think that Rue would do good. Desire? There can only be two women I can think of: Jennifer Tilly or Any gothy sexy Duran Duran Nagel cover Rio vixen, Mayhaps even Courtney Cox Arquette? Let's not forget Destiny? It would have to be one of the biggie strange character actors: Oldman/Malkovich/Irons. Who would play Destruction? There can be only one: Eddie Izzard with a talking dog. Yep. Eddie doing the worst Sean Connery impersonation paiting watercolors on the edge of the beach...yeppers.
SO...GETTING BACK TO WHAT I WAS SAYING:
Go see Constantine. I am buying the dvd and restarting my old comic book collection...Now if I could only get someone to start the pre production for 'V for Vendetta'.

I love tuesdays..it reminds me that Monday's Over
Mood:  chillin'
Now Playing: The Red Violin with a Preview of Constantine chaser
If you have not seen "The Red Violin" and you liked the play "Tamara". You will love this flick. I have a slightly stymied question: I just saw a preview of "Constantine" DC comic's anti-punk-hero being played by highly typecasted Keanu...personally I always thought Denis Leary would have made a good John Constantine...but I digress. The thing of it is...here we are yet again folks with the same aged old question: "WHEN WILL THERE BE A SANDMAN MOVIE???" there are also a ton of very good graphic novels that would make fabulous films..."V for Vendetta is my personal favorite." If anyone would like to cough up dough for the V for Vendetta movie? I am all for it.

Recover RECOVER RECOVER!!!!
Mood:  don't ask
Now Playing: The Count Of Monte Cristo
So, here I am again. I thought I was getting better. Actually I am, I just have no voice and only hack up half a lung instead of a whole lung. Something interesting I saw where nanotechnology is going to be located in our clothing...I don't know how to feel about that: "BEEP! You have gained two pounds, stop wearing me or I will stretch! BEEP!" Hmmm. Finally published horoscopes for those who I promised months ago...Gad, am I ever lazy or what? I think it's because all Libras currently don't feel like doing anything! Maybe when it's not so cold. It was Sleepy Hollow kind of foggy today. I would have much rather written poetry and been tragic weeping on the bannister instead of going to actual work. SIGH. At least Friday is coming!!!

YES I AM FINE!!!
Mood:  don't ask
Now Playing: Prisoner of Azkaban on DVD
Just for the record,YES, I was in the Emergency Room late Thursday night last week. I was having a Satine moment from the movie Moulin Rouge. Hacking up blood and fainting. I felt like I had consumption. No. I had what is commonly referred to as: Bronchitis. I coughed so hard that I not only bruised a rib, I got to have x-rays so the doctor could see I was alright.
I don't really have an urge to see my lungs again...creepy. I have been ordered for much rest and liquids. So I do apologize to those that are looking to read horoscopes from various websites and magazines for the delay, I do promise to make up for it in the new year.

And now, the floorshow
Mood:  accident prone
Now Playing: Lemony Snicket
I just saw Lemony Snicket. I have mixed feelings about the movie actually. I did like the film immensely. But, I feel like Jim Carrey tries too hard sometimes to get that laugh...not that I would know anything about that...nah!

I love to spin
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Adam's Rib
I just finished showing two hundred kids how to spin wool for the Christmas Exhibition I was in. I love the look on people's faces when they learn an ancient craft. It makes me feel good. One of these days I should get pictures of spinning wool. I have three orders for designer spindles...I should get crackin'.
One or two of the people who came to my booth were very sick and hackin and whoopin...I hope I don't get sick...Oh well. Merry Christmas!
